Resonance Choir: Sing For Trees!

Songs to nourish the spirit, supporting Forests Without Frontiers.

Resonance Choir, Sing For Trees! was a singing project Hannah-Rose co-founded with the vision and support of artist Moyra Scott. All voices were welcome at these sessions which supported tree planting organisation Forests Without Frontiers every time, and sang songs to nourish the spirit from a range of singing traditions, old and new. Resonance ran monthly from Sept 2022 to Jan 2025, as well as occasional al fresco campfire sings in the beautiful woodland garden at Stanmer.

To listen to some snippets of Resonance Choir singing, visit our socials (see below), and also see the videos below. With great thanks to everyone who was a part of this singing forest project! 🙂

New song – The Light Through The Leaves by Hannah-Rose Tristram, May 2024.

“The day before Resonance Choir’s first sing at Stanmer,  I went for a walk there with my partner. During our walk, there was a moment where the light was coming down through the leaves so exquisitely that it moved me deeply, and made me feel a lot and think about the human capacity to perceive and be moved by beauty. When we got home, I wrote this song. As an expression of that; and also, with Resonance Al Fresco in mind!”

Resonance Choir sang this song at Stanmer Woodland Garden in May 2024, a day after it was written, with the birds joining in around us, and again at our al fresco campfire sing in June 2024 – which you can see a snippet of at the video below!

ABOUT RESONANCE CHOIR

Resonance met monthly from September 2022 to January 2025, singing beautiful songs in a lovely venue, and planting trees every time via Forests Without Frontiers! We also ran some monthly Summer sings al fresco at the beautiful Woodland Garden at Stanmer Park healing gardens.

Resonance choir explores simple harmonic songs that repeat and build resonance together, from a variety of traditions. All voices are welcome.

Songs are taught by ear, so no need to be able to read music scores.

Resonance Choir sings songs from a range of traditions, to soothe, nourish and uplift the soul. Resonance choir explores simple harmonic songs that repeat and build resonance together. There may also be opportunities to co-create simple sound baths with the human voice, exploring and enjoying the powerful resonance of people singing together.

Resonance Choir intends to create an experience of embodied resonance; a meditative, experience of belonging; to nourish the spirit through song, come home to our ourselves, to each other, and to the planet. A reminder that you are not alone.

You do not need to follow any particular spiritual path or belief to benefit from this group, which is intended to bring people together in resonance, regardless of any differences in world-view. All voices are welcome.
