About HANNAH-ROSE

Hannah-Rose (they/she) is a largely self taught piano-accordion player with a high skill level, and a particular passion for Balkan folk music, Klezmer and other expressive music with beautiful melodies and exciting rhythms.

They also love the accordion as an instrument for self accompanied singing, for use in theatre, and for jamming with other musicians or playing in a band context. Hannah-Rose started learning the accordion aged 15, and has over twenty years of experience.

Hannah-Rose has a fun, patient and passionate teaching style, grounded in both musical theory and in the physical, practical and intuitive getting to know the instrument. They would love to assist any beginners or intermediate players interested in beginning/furthering their piano-accordion playing.

eXPERIENCE/qUALIFICATIONS

Hannah-Rose’s study and experience include a 1st Class BA Hons in Music (and Dance), music study and concert tours with renowned choirs Village Harmony and Northern Harmony; work in theatre as a musical director or co/assistant musical director or actor musician; attending accordion workshops; taking lessons from varied accordion teachers whilst in actor musicianship training and at other times; study and performance of the songs of Edith Piaf amongst others; solo and group performances at a variety of events; and skill swapping with some brilliant musicians over the years.
